About The Treatment

When adjusting the joints of the spine, not only does this correct any misalignment between bones but in doing so takes the pressure off specific joints, discs, muscles, and most importantly the nervous system. A healthy nervous system promotes repair and therefore recovery. If required, our chiropractors are able to adjust many of the other joints within the body to improve their function.

Prior to any adjustments your chiropractor will explain to you in detail the rationale behind the treatment and will talk you through this safe and painless process to ensure that you are comfortable with the technique.

The adjustment often results in a small popping or clicking sound – or what we call a ‘cavitation’. This audible release occurs when bubbles of gas are released from the joint. This is very similar to the sound made when people crack their knuckles!

Realigning the joints in this way allows the body to heal efficiently.
